Primary News and Year Group Information
Friday 26th April 2024
This week we have been celebrating Earth Day and learning about the importance of looking after our planet. We have also been really lucky to have Chris and Alex deliver an assembly focused on Awe and Wonder- looking at how the world was created and sharing some amazing facts (who knew we are the only creatures in the world to have a chin or that owls don't have eye balls).
This week we have also been really proud of our Year 4 classes who have practised the Multiplication Times Table Check. They have all demonstrated the amazing amount of work and effort that they have put into learning their times tables.
On Saturday morning our Under 10 football team took part in the Year 5 6-aside finals. They were absolutely fantastic and all played with smiles on their faces. A huge thank you to all those that came to support.
Car Park
Please can we remind you that the car park is not for drop off and pick up and we advise that you park on the surrounding roads and walk. We thank you for your support in this.
Snacks at breaktime
We would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that snacks consumed at morning break time should be fruit and vegetables only, please ensure that your child is not bringing in crisps or cereal bas to have at this time.

Late room
If you are delayed in picking up your child, they will be situated in Year 1 Orange Classroom (from 3.30pm onwards). If there is any reason for late pick up, please make sure you notify the admin team and make every arrangement to collect your child.
Playground equipment
At the end and beginning of the school day the jungle gym, tree house and tyre trail are out of bounds for safety reasons. Please do not allow you child/ren to play on these during these times.
Extra-Curricular Achievements
We would love to celebrate any extra-curricular achievements that happen outside of school. If you would like to share an achievement, please e-mail a picture and description to Miss Reed (e.reed@samuelryderacademy.co.uk) and we will ensure these are shared in assemblies and celebrated throughout primary.
