Activities

Students have ample opportunities at lunchtime or after school to extend their learning and learn new skills.

At Samuel Ryder Academy we are fortunate to be able to provide a wide range of activities catering for all interests and levels of ability.

  • The Music faculty offers a range of bands, choirs and groups
  • The Media and Arts faculty provides Art club and Master classes, Media production Workshops, Film club, production opportunities in plays or musicals.
  • The Science faculty has a Science club, Robotics club, Young Engineers Scheme and astronomy club.
  • Other clubs include Senior and Junior Reading Groups, Latin club and Design and Technology sessions.
  • House competitions which include quizzes, drama competitions, public speaking, football and other sporting opportunities
  • The PE faculty offers a full range of sporting clubs in all the major games.
