Rap Workshops

Throughout this week, our Year 6 and Year 8 students have enthusiastically participated in a series of rap workshops conducted by Rob Bradley, the founder of The Rap School.

Rob is a world championship-winning freestyle rapper, a published poet, and a multiple-time TEDx speaker. His performances span the globe, from underground clubs in New York to festivals across Europe, and he has collaborated with various international artists along the way.

Rap and spoken word poetry provide an innovative approach to teaching literacy, poetic techniques, and vocabulary through creative writing and performance. Engaging in collaboration and public performance fosters confidence and enhances communication skills among young people. These dynamic, collaborative workshops are specifically designed to encourage students to explore a new form of writing, delve into their creative ideas, and experiment with performance.
