Celtic Harmony Trip
Posted on 18/09/2025For our inaugural trip of the academic year, our Year 3 children had the pleasure of visiting Celtic Harmony on Monday, immersing themselves in the experiences of Stone Age hunter-gatherers for a day.
As part of our Stone Age topic, the children participated in a variety of engaging activities, including observing a friction fire lighting demonstration, gathering food in the forest, cooking with prehistoric herbs, constructing their own woodland shelters, witnessing a flint knapping demonstration, and exploring stone tools. They even participated in a mammoth hunt and became Stone Age traders, utilising authentic props such as skins, horns, and hammer stones.
This fascinating experience allowed them to discover what life was like thousands of years ago, including participation in ancient rituals.
It was a unforgettable way to bring history to life!
