Great Bookish Bake-Off

The Great Bookish Bake-Off was back last week to much excitement across the school.

Throughout the week, talented bakers in Years 7-10 and staff created cakes themed around a book.

Cakes were judged on presentation, design, taste, texture, overall impression and enjoyment.

Many congratulations to our overall winners: 1st place - Roumaisa K-F (Beauty and the Beast); 2nd place - Alice P (The Hunger Games).

Well done to our Year 7 and Year 8 winners: joint 1st place - Betsi E (Mr Bump) and Josie H (Harry Potter); 2nd place - Francesca T and Betsy T-S (STAGS).

Well done to our Year 9 and Year 10 winners: 1st place - Sophie L (Wind in the Willows); 2nd place - Melody B-W (Tom Gates).

The level of skill this year was truly outstanding - thank you to all that took part. It was wonderful to see how reading has inspired such passion and creativity.
