Year 7 Tower of London Trip

Today, 60 of our Year 7 students had the exciting opportunity to visit the Tower of London.

They enjoyed a teacher-led tour exploring the medieval palace and experiencing the historical world linked to previous learning of the Norman Conquest of England.

Students considered historical concepts such as continuity and change and used them to make connections and frame historically valid questions. They explored the Tower’s history of rebellion and how it was used as a symbol of fear, which will link back into the topics they study in both Year 7 and Year 8.

This was a wonderful experience for our students to immerse themselves in the historical world and to see history come to life.
