Warner Bros Graphic Communication Trip
Posted on 18/10/2024As part of the Graphic Communication course, our students need to investigate and research existing graphic designers from the world of book and film. The students’ first project focuses on graphic in film and we study the graphic work of Mina Lima (the graphic team behind the Harry Potter franchise).
On Wednesday, our students enjoyed a fantastic day trip to Warner Bros Studio, where the students received first hand observations of a variety of graphic imagery. Students had a wonderful opportunity of taking part in a lesson at the studios. They learnt the processes involved in creating movie graphic, from Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes products to copies of the Daily Prophet newspapers. Focusing on Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima’s iconic designs from the Harry Potter film series, students learnt what processes are involved in creating movie graphic.
It was a memorable and valuable experience for our students as they begin their Graphic Communication GCSE course work.
