Avon Tyrrell Residential
Posted on 30/06/2023Our Year 6 children have spent the week at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Activity Centre, set in the New Forest National Park.
They had a great week enjoying all the activities! They had lots of fun on the water - kayaking on the lake and trying out the stand up paddle boards where there was more splashing than standing! The children enjoyed shelter building in the woods as well as high ropes climbing. There were also the Egg Drop Presentations - even the teachers got involved. Many water fights were enjoyed to cool off after busy days.
In the evenings, they enjoyed a large game of capture the flag, toasted marshmallows on the campfire, practised singing the Mary Poppins songs for their forthcoming production, as well as a film night and a disco on the last evening with a brilliant conga!
It has been such a fantastic week for the children - they have made the most amazing memories during their last few weeks of Primary!
