Holocaust Memorial Day

Last week, students participated in discussions and activities to commemorate Holocaust Memorial Day 2020, which marked 75 years since the liberation of Auschwitz- Birkenau.

Students gave their responses to questions such as:

  • Why should we remember events like the Holocaust?
  • What can we do at SRA to deal with prejudice and discrimination? (such as bullying and racism).
  • What should we do to stand up against prejudice and discrimination?
  • How can we ensure events like this never happen again?

Students also produced some fantastic displays which were put up in the library.
