iPad Contribution 2025-2026
We see iPads as a powerful tool to enrich and enhance learning across the Sixth Form. Their effective use supports greater efficiency, deeper understanding, and stronger engagement, particularly through improved access to resources, enhanced retrieval practice, collaborative learning, and more dynamic lesson delivery.
iPads allow students to access a wide range of subject-specific apps, digital resources, and media. This enables more personalised, creative, and collaborative learning. They also support independent study, streamline communication, and ensure quick distribution of materials. This efficiency frees up time in lessons for discussion, reflection, and deeper learning.
Ultimately, iPads help prepare students for higher education and the modern workplace, while supporting high quality learning in the present.
As part of our transformational 21st century learning toolkit, all Sixth Form students are expected to use an iPad and have the opportunity to borrow a school device for an annual contribution of £60.00. Students are expected to bring their iPad to school each day and use it as part of their daily learning.
The £60.00 contribution is due for the 2025 to 2026 academic year.
Payment will be available on MCAS (MyChildAtSchool) from Wednesday 3 September 2025, after students collect their new iPad on their first day back.
Payment must be made by Friday 12 September 2025.
As we are a cashless school, payments can only be made via MCAS.
If you require an activation code for MCAS (Bromcom), a password reset, or have any other queries regarding payment, please contact the School Finance Office.

Sixth Form Locker Hire 2025–2026
The school encourages all Sixth Form students to hire a locker during their time in Sixth Form to ensure that personal items and study materials can be stored securely. Lockers are essential if you do not wish to carry all your items to and from school each day.
Folders, books, and other belongings should be stored in lockers and not left in the Sixth Form study area to ensure their safekeeping. Please note that the Sixth Form Centre is often used by others after school hours, and all personal items must be locked away at the end of each day.
The cost to hire a locker for the full two-year period is £10.00.
Payment must be made via MCAS (MyChildAtSchool) by Friday, 12th September 2025.
As we are now a cashless school, payments are accepted via MCAS only, which is the same system used for iPad loan contributions.
Locker keys will be available for collection from either Student Reception or the Sixth Form Centre at the beginning of the new term.
If you require an activation code for MCAS (Bromcom), a password reset, or have any other queries regarding payment, please contact the School Finance Office.

Sixth Form Access Fob 2025–2026
All Sixth Form students will be issued with a personal access fob. This fob must be used each day to sign into the school building at one of the designated entry points.
If a student needs to leave the school premises during the school day, they must sign out at Main Reception using the InVentry system, providing a reason for leaving. Upon returning, students must sign back in using the same system.
The cost of a fob is £5.00, and replacement fobs cost £3.50.
Payment must be made via MCAS (MyChildAtSchool) by Friday, 12th September 2025.
As we are now a cashless school, all payments are accepted via MCAS only.
