A Week of International Collaboration and Digital Excellence
Posted on 23/01/2026This week, our Academy was delighted to welcome 80 international visitors, with 40 colleagues from the Benelux region and a further 40 from the Netherlands. They chose to visit us to see, first-hand, how thoughtfully embedded digital technology can enrich teaching and learning and enhance children’s and students’ experiences across all phases of the Academy.
Throughout the visit, we showcased the importance we place on Nexus One and our unwavering commitment to connectivity, equity and opportunity for every child and student. Visitors saw this in action through the consistent and purposeful use of technology in the classroom and beyond — not as an add-on, but as a powerful enabler of inclusion, engagement and ambition for our wider school community.
Guests took part in learning walks across every phase of the Academy, where they observed lessons and spoke directly with children and students. They were particularly struck by the confidence and fluency our students demonstrated when using technology to support and articulate their learning. Our youngest learners impressed visitors with their strong oracy skills, speaking eloquently about their learning journeys and the digital tools that support them.
A highlight of the visit was our marketplace event, confidently led by our student Nexus Champions. Children and students showcased their expertise across a wide range of apps and platforms, including Canva, VR headsets, Seesaw, Freeform and GarageBand, explaining how these tools enhance creativity, collaboration and deeper learning. This provided a powerful example of how Nexus One creates meaningful opportunities for children and students to lead, innovate and support others.
The feedback from our international visitors was overwhelmingly positive, and the visit served as a strong affirmation of our shared vision: an education for a changing world. We are immensely proud of our children, students and staff for bringing the Nexus One commitment to life and representing the Academy so confidently on an international stage.
