The 2018 exam results at Samuel Ryder Academy are very pleasing and students and staff can be very proud of their effort and achievements.
At Key Stage One, the students performed superbly well, with 86% of students, achieving age-related expectation or better in Maths, 82% achieving age-related expectations or better in Reading, and 79% in Writing. We expect these results to be above the national average.
The Year 11 cohort has been extremely successful and achieved an excellent set of GCSE results. 68% of students achieved a 9-4 grade in English and 63% in Maths. Gaining a 9-4 grade in Maths and English combined was 58% of students. An especially pleasing aspect of the results is the high number of students achieving the highest grade 9 in their subjects, demonstrating the high ability level of the Year 11 cohort.
This represents an outstanding set of results for the students and Samuel Ryder Academy.
The Sixth Form have achieved very strong outcomes again with an average points score for entry of 32, with 92% of students achieving grades A*- C. This represents the best Key Stage Five results at Samuel Ryder Academy. All students gained entry to their first choice university.
Overall, the school has performed to an extremely high standard in all Key Stages and the students and staff have enjoyed another very successful year.
